Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design Oases Restaurant by OTG At Newark Liberty International Airport, previously underutilized corridors containing moving walkways were re-purposed to feature expansive food and beverage offerings in fresh "oases." Each oasis has a different restaurant or bar and is approximately three meters wide by forty-six meters long. Going beyond simple structural solutions, the designs create an appealing sense of place in the formerly bleak airport hallways. The experience is further enhanced with the numerous site-specific artworks that have been commissioned from established artists and incorporated into each oasis.
